Method 1: Base Method
• You need to light a red candle and offer deity’s favorites such as 3 candies and Beedies, one coconut, and cup of rum.
• 500/- in the hundi
• Promise to offer Rs. 1500 once the prayer request is fulfilled, along with 3 times the offering of that you offered at the time of placing the prayer request.
Once the prayer is answered/fulfilled you will need to fulfill your promise as a Thanksgiving to Papa Elegua and connect with a temple volunteer or email the temple sharing the good news.
Be prepared for thanksgiving and tests that the deity may put you through before showering his grace on you and your family.
Method 2: Ideal Traditional Method
• You need to light a red candle and offer deity’s favorites such as 3 candies and Beedies, one coconut, and cup of rum.
• Need to get the prayer request doused by any of the temple volunteers (Ekkta/Jankie/RR/Varron) at the time of placing the prayer request to get the ideal donation amount to match the energy of the prayer to be fulfilled.
or
any amount that comes to your heart which is more than Rs.500.
• Promise to offer 3 times the offerings and initial donation once the prayer request is fulfilled.
Once the prayer is answered/fulfilled you will need to fulfill your promise as a Thanksgiving to Papa Elegua and connect with a temple volunteer or email the temple sharing the good news.

NOTES FOR DRAFTING THE PRAYER REQUEST:
Write only 1 prayer and share with a temple volunteer to keep the prayer at the altar.

VERY IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION TO KEEP IN MIND:
- Once you make a prayer request, you have to participate in the candle service and light a red candle to honour Papa Elegua as regularly as possible.
- The chances of your prayer request manifesting depends on your love and honour for Papa Elegua.
- Once your prayer is fulfilled you have to offer 3x of what you promised and / or offered while making the wish
- In case you forget your promise or don’t pay for the prayer the deity will take from you what he wants, so please respect the promise you make
- All the offerings are available at the temple. You may also carry the coconut if you would like to.
